Climate Controlled Machine Tooling
TMI has a climate-controlled space for calibration of equipment and the use of laser measurement equipment, including an API Laser Tracker. The API Laser Tracker is a three-dimensional portable measurement system that will accurately perform complex measurement requirements. In addition, Texas Machine-Tool International has a SwivelCheck SC100MC for rotary axis calibration and the API XD6 Laser for linear axis calibration.
SwivelCheck SC100MC Rotary Axis Calibration
- Measures horizontal and vertical and axes
- Compensation abilities – all controls
XD6 Laser Linear Axis Calibration
- Measures yaw, roll, linearity, pitch, straightness, in one pass
- Compensation abilities - all controls
All TMI equipment is maintained with a NIST traceable calibration and all services conclude with a full report of both the before, after, and geometric condition of the machine. TMI is fluent in the compensation of all controls and has extensive experience in going beyond just the standard linear compensation.
TMI has the experience to square, level, and repair any items found during the calibration offering you a “one stop shop” for all your climate controlled machined tooling needs.
Texas Machine-Tool International also offers a measurement plan service to assist in processes of measurement technology. A measurement plan is a custom written procedure that mimics a process on the shop floor for the deployment of measurement technology. These procedures are written in an effort to provide many things to a process. Items such as process repeatability, improved productivity, and reduced cost are benefits of such an approach. In addition, the interface to the instrument is streamlined with embedded work instructions, resulting in minimal training and employee turnover impacts. A variety of instruments may be used in the deployment of a measurement plan including laser trackers, portable arms, laser radar, and laser scanners. Contact TMI for a free assessment of your current process to see how much you could save through the automation of your measurement process.
Tooling is assembled in a controlled temperature environment to ensure dimensional accuracy during assembly, resulting in the avoidance/introduction of any thermal related problems.
